ohhhh markus ….

Mister D put me on the guest list of the Cielo today, and we had quite a blast (although I couldn’t dance because I kinda hurt my big toe by braking some boards at Tae Kwon Do). After being in the club for a while he put the glass down on one of the tables. And now guess what, one of the guys at the table (BIG! MUSCULAR! shaved head, you get the idea), took the glass and put it on the floor. I would have just taken the glass and let it be. but Mister D started to argue with this guy and both looked rather, well, testosterone loaded. But after like 2 minutes he left the table, looking pissed, and I thought, ok, that went kinda well (without violence). But he just went straight to the bar, bought a drink, drank it, went back to this table and dropped it with a bang into the cooler. the other guy jumped up super quickly and they both started arguing. And it looked really tense. It really looked like they are going to fight any minute. And guess what, after like 4 minutes, both suddenly shook hands, smiled and that was it.

I will never get that kind of behavior. seriously. 

so people in the office told me about this weeks ago, its fabulous, party of the year and lots of craziness going on. so I went there with Mister D and his friend and after waiting for the coat check for half an hour(!) we finally headed in. and it felt like a (part gay) highschool reunion. people of all age, dressed very casual, a big disco ball, no visuals, everything decorated with balloons. and about 200 gazillion people too many. 

after having body contact with a couple of (way too) sweaty man (gross!) I decided to head home. Luckily the friend of D told me they will head to another club afterwards and I am gladly welcome to join if I want to. So I headed home, coded some Flash stuff till about 3:30am and then got picked up and we headed to the club.

and I was in love.

this was it, the real thing. hard beats, terrific grooves, (male) singers on the stage, wearing a corset, everyone dressed up, insanely highly sexual visuals, gorgeous gorgeous women, circles with dance show offs, men in furs, men with sunglasses, and everyone having a good time. including especially myself.

the coat check was unfortunately full (even after a lot of arguing ;)), so I dropped my stuff in a corner under a table, and had a blast, dancing all the time.

ohhh the thrill, the sensation!

and when I went home (at -8 degrees celsius) by the subway, I was standing in the frontmost cabin with the window showing the tracks, being amazed how rotten they look, almost like a ghostride in Disney World.

and then, tirili, having a strawberry donut form the 24/7 Dunkin Donuts.

its going on on my office desk right now. incredible wonder of nature. unfortunately I don’t have a camera with me otherwise I would post some pics. and the best thing is, you can have the same experience. just order this and wait for 10 days …. oh behave!

 oh my god, I had the best Tae Kwon Do training today since I started. Today we practiced for the first time running jump kicks and I was FLYING. and hitting a target in midair. It was such a spectacular feeling, And then we did double front kicks on the bags (its like running up the bags in the air, like in matrix, but you are generating so much force that the bags are almost horizontal after the two kicks. what a fun). as much painful and annoying Tae Kwon Do can be, today everything (learned) came together and it was sooo much fun. highly recommended. start it people! 

imagine standing in the subway, stranger opposite of you, you step out of the subway, he follows you, holds you and kisses you (on the lips) and runs away. didn’t happen to me today, but to my fabulous collegue, Ms. V.

Aaaand she says he was austrian (at least he had the same accent as me). I don’t know if thats a good or bad thing

ha! I am so happy to finally find a shoe shop that has extremely fancy and gorgeous shoes, speak “jaw dropping style”. and only totally ugly and hideous for women. so the new score for fancy shops is women : men  74.233.932 : 1.

so there it is. big ugly birthday. another 29th (don’t DARE to think anything else). It was kinda tempting to make a party but since I still don’t know that many people here I kinda passed on this one. parties are supposed to be big. but I got AMAZING present! super awesome cool paintings for my wall. need to post a pic sometime later. and I went to an (at least 80%) authentic austrian restaurant, Cafe Katja. Liptauer (with real austrian bread), Berner Wuerstel (although it’s a kinda sophisticated version, I have serious doubts that you get them anywhere in Austria served that fancy, but thats the way the cookie crumbles here in NY) and a Linzer Torte for dessert. Ivor got me a nice birthday cake as a surprise and my brother (the smart one) sent me the sweetest email (with super cute pictures of my nieces).
