wtf? sony have you gone mad?

ok, commercials have to be somehow controversial, but sony has gone way to far with this totally irresponsible ad from 2005 (chances are very high you already know it) for the playstation.
it starts with a very dark and hyperrealistic war scenario; soldier running away and getting shot; music in the background a slow-down version of “forever young”. the rescue team arrives and can just detect the death of the soldier, crying out loud. after the rescue team runs away under enemy fire, the dead soldier suddenly converts to a very shocked looking girl (= the “player” behind the scene) and the ad ends with “play forever”. this is the most cruel ad for playing war games I have ever seen. finally you did it sony, seriously pissed me off. |
