just stumbled upon an “guarana coke” at the local eco-supermarket. of course couldn’t hesitate to give it a try cause I don’t drink the “real” coke anymore (waaay to unhealthy) and I am always looking for new stuff.

tasted quite good, can recommend it, but thats not what this article is about.

when I browsed the ingredients, I stumpled on the entry “ecologically controlled coke flavour”. wtf? imho coke and ecological doesn’t go in the same sentence. always thought “coke” is just about the brand so I googled it and found some very interesting answers. the coke flavour is a combination of several ingredients, although a secret recipe, these ingredients are known/used: ginger, orange blossoms, carob, tonkabeans and/or limepeelings. so the flavour can be ecologically grown, didn’t expect that ….
