you know these nights when you don’t expect anything¬†and are in a rather grumpy mood and then it turns out to be a terrific night? oh well, ¬†this was such one (and no complaints here, no sir!).
went to the cafe leopold to view a VJ performance of vio - a very charming friend of mine - for DJ Smoove (and had no idea that the cafe had a second room where the party was going on, life is full of surprises).
had a jolly good time there with lots of laughing and dancing (oh, and did I note that I just love architecture and everything attached to it ;) ).
Smoove is¬†a really¬†laid back and charismatic¬†dude (you just can’t help yourself to join in laughing when he starts. I was quite impressed that he was totally relaxed even due to the fact that some fuckheads (burn in hell) stole all of his records on his way to the gig).¬†his¬†music style¬†is totally ’scratch-o-maniac’,¬†playing¬†the most incredible mixes you can imagine, e.g. “Manu Chao - Bongo Bong” in in a drum’n'bass version, which¬†totally freaked out the crowd. oh, and¬†fyi, the style changed totally over the time, getting ‘harder’ (equals better)¬†every hour. so if you get a chance to listen to him, take it. and stay as long as you can!.
met later¬†a very special¬†friend of mine¬†who¬†I¬†haven’t seen¬†for quite a while (damn you, city of Fuschl!). told me¬†to my total surprise a really¬†charming¬†compliment¬†(’Ich bin erst viel zu sp?§t draufgekommen, da?ü du einer von den guten bist.‘). thanks, man! highly appreciate it!
so, how good can a night get? going to bed, life is good
Edit: oh, almost forgot a quite funny one.¬†a moment before leaving the cafe a (clearly drunk) guy put his arm on my shoulder and invited my to a drink. when he wanted to pay he wasn’t able to do so due to lack of money. to my surprise he started to pull off his shoe in search of money, didn’t find anything, pulled off the other shoe (all while having big problems maintaining balance), no money either, so his company helped him out (and got the drink, too, obviously).
lessons learned: if you put your money in your shoes, you will¬†dance pretty funny if you want to get to it. oh, and¬†make sure it is really there before leaving the house ….
