have recently been at a house warming party of some (musician) friends of my brother. I really really digged the house, incredibly nice architecture!

the video shows my brother, who is a professional musician (drums), quite nice, eh? *respect*! :)

… because I think it’s a no-no theme. The weather (how shallow can you be). but today really and seriously pissed me off. well, not exactly the weather itself, more the weather-forecast for today. promised sun-shine & 24¬?C, so hooray national holiday! looked forward to serious outdoor entertainment (life is good) and left for the country side in the morning with no jacket at all. and how has the weather been? 13¬?C & cloudy sky all day long.

freezing equals to no fun at all. weather guys, got wasted, or what? thank you so very much.

oh what a day, got up and this piece of crap windows mobile phone completly ran out of power during night (again). and it had been charged before. fully! aargh. when I tried to turn it on with attached power cord a screen showed up, noting “do you want to boot in safe mode?“. oh yes, I really missed the windows experience on my cell phone. finally, it¬†arrived here, too. thank you so very much.

after some checks I found out that not the phone was the problem but the sandisk SD-card. completly broken. piece of crap. can’t be read of and can perfectly freeze the windows explorer if you are trying to read it with a card reader (windows tries to mount it, can’t read, unmount, tries to mount it, can’t read, … , you get the idea).¬†changed the SD-card and everything is fine (again). hopefully.

got a call later from l?©¬†agency, surprise, surprise, big project and very interesting,¬†too,¬†with an extremly tight timeline due right before I am leaving. did I tell I love challenges ;)? went over there and immediatly felt at home again, god, I will really miss this office.

later, had my first taekwondo training, really really nice trainer there, can totally recommend it. oh, and my very most charming special friend “miss¬†sarcasm” is training there, too (and has¬†a blue belt with red stripes. or is it¬†the other way around?¬†whatever, doesn’t really matter since mine is white. which is totally cool. iPods are white, too. right ;) ?). and she has a new really cute&nice haircut, love it that way, darling :).

surprise 2, remembered a nice story about a moderator in a (live?) show in the nineties who suddenly started to undress with the words ‘I always wanted to see what happens when a moderator gets naked during a show’. and he didn’t stop at his underwear.¬†¬†got (obviously) quite some attention. ok, but that wasn’t the big surprise I am talking about. the surprise is, didn’t find the story¬†at google! aw!¬†so if anyone has a clue who I am talking about, please add a comment.
thank you very much.

oh and its pumpkin time, isn’t it? thanks to david for the link to this marvelous pumpkin (battlestar galactica fan, anyone?).

edit:¬†mystery ¬†solved! the nacked moderator is dieter moor and the name of the live show was “Ex! was die Nation erregte”. awesome, alex!

you know these nights when you don’t expect anything¬†and are in a rather grumpy mood and then it turns out to be a terrific night? oh well, ¬†this was such one (and no complaints here, no sir!).

went to the cafe leopold to view a VJ performance of vio - a very charming friend of mine - for DJ Smoove (and had no idea that the cafe had a second room where the party was going on, life is full of surprises).
had a jolly good time there with lots of laughing and dancing (oh, and did I note that I just love architecture and everything attached to it ;) ).

Smoove is¬†a really¬†laid back and charismatic¬†dude (you just can’t help yourself to join in laughing when he starts. I was quite impressed that he was totally relaxed even due to the fact that some fuckheads (burn in hell) stole all of his records on his way to the gig).¬†his¬†music style¬†is totally ’scratch-o-maniac’,¬†playing¬†the most incredible mixes you can imagine, e.g. “Manu Chao - Bongo Bong” in in a drum’n'bass version, which¬†totally freaked out the crowd. oh, and¬†fyi, the style changed totally over the time, getting ‘harder’ (equals better)¬†every hour. so if you get a chance to listen to him, take it. and stay as long as you can!.

met later¬†a very special¬†friend of mine¬†who¬†I¬†haven’t seen¬†for quite a while (damn you, city of Fuschl!). told me¬†to my total surprise a really¬†charming¬†compliment¬†(’Ich bin erst viel zu sp?§t draufgekommen, da?ü du einer von den guten bist.‘). thanks, man! highly appreciate it!

so, how good can a night get? going to bed, life is good :)

Edit: oh, almost forgot a quite funny one.¬†a moment before leaving the cafe a (clearly drunk) guy put his arm on my shoulder and invited my to a drink. when he wanted to pay he wasn’t able to do so due to lack of money. to my surprise he started to pull off his shoe in search of money, didn’t find anything, pulled off the other shoe (all while having big problems maintaining balance), no money either, so his company helped him out (and got the drink, too, obviously).
lessons learned: if you put your money in your shoes, you will¬†dance pretty funny if you want to get to it. oh, and¬†make sure it is really there before leaving the house ….

oh boy oh boy. now it finally happened. I lost my “I have no blog” virginity to WordPress. now I have one, too! and it is english! wee-haa! (ok, maybe I just HAVE to switch back to beloved mothertongue from time to time due to lack of proper vocabulary when it comes to sarcasm or “notes of improvement” as a very special friend of mine tends to say).

anyhow! my first posting will be about good - no! - terrific news. my application paper for my visa has been finished and will be sent to me next week for me to sign. woopie! live is great. new york, beware! :)
